Description:

Sperry Partners Group is urgently looking for an experienced SAS Platform Administrator for a project in Brussels, Belgium.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the administration of SAS platforms in versions 9.3 and SAS 9.4.

Ensure the availability of SAS platforms respecting the governance infrastructure and works with IT teams.

SAS as an administrator, you make sure to complete a series of tasks. More particularly,

• You manage server administration SAS 9.3 & 9.4;
• You master SAS architecture concepts and recent modules;
• You have a good knowledge and practice of management SAS Metadata and you are able to manage security by following the best practices recommended by SAS;
• You make sure to establish a double security: oriented system and metadata;
• You configure connectivity to applications and sources you analyze the impacts on them;
• You manage backups at both the outlet and return in the reliability of these tests;
• You write systems efficiently scripts to automate many of your tasks;
• You monitor and control server activity via the platform monitoring tools (including SAS and Environment Manager APM) and logs;
• You assess the need of updates – hot fixes – to estimate the risks and implement them successfully;
• When necessary, you are participating in communication with the SAS support team;
• You are aware of the impacts and manage networks efficiently and proactively (inter-server communications, firewall,);
• You guarantee the quality and availability of detailed documentation of the IT infrastructure;
• You manage proactively renewals and licensing of facilities;
• In case of upgrade or migration, you bring your knowledge to ensure a smooth transition;
• You make sure to notify you about new product.

Skills

• You have at least 2 years of experience in the administration of SAS 9 platform and if possible a useful first experience with SAS version 9.4;

• You have strong knowledge in terms of AIX and Linux administration;
• A networking experience is an asset;
• You have knowledge at least passive, the Hadoop framework;
• You are fluent French or Dutch and have a good foundation in the other language. You master the professional technical English;
• Key skills: availability, flexibility, listening skills, communication, results orientation, discipline and precision, good learning ability, self-interest in teamwork, proactivity.
